Runnymede
Runnymede is an administrative district with the status of a borough in the county of Surrey in England. Council is based in Addlestone; significant sights are Chertsey, Egham, Englefield Green and Virginia Water. In this area, King John signed in 1215 after a revolt of the barons, the Magna Carta.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the urban districts of Chertsey and Egham.
