Down with feeling generous, Invisible! is the ninth studio album by the German punk rock band Die Ärzte. It was released on CD and double 12 " LP, each in a light blue plush bag, on 23 October 2000.

Background

Four days before the release of the single "How it works" had the song performed live for the birthday of Harald Schmidt in his Late Night Show The Harald Schmidt Show The Doctors.

The song " morgue ", which is influenced by New German Hardness sound, contains a parody of "The Song of the Smurfs " Vader Abraham and the Smurfs, which by some comedians, including Otto Waalkes, has been covered and parodied.

"Yes, is' yes jut Kleener, listen to krakeeln times on here now " at the end of " The Optimist " was spoken by the doctors - producer Uwe Hoffmann.

"N 48.3 " in the ICD -10 coding for priapism, a painful, persistent erection.

The last text line of the song " Las Vegas " come from the " Altbier song" from which the Düsseldorf band Die Toten Hosen published an interpretation on their album Ladies Choice.

The title " Rock'n'Roll Übermensch " refers to an eponymous song by the Dutch band Loveslug, which again can be found on their album Circus of Values.

In the chorus of " Sometimes women have ... " is heard, the singer Diane Weigmann of the Berlin band Lemonbabies.

Trivia

In " morgue " to sing the " Smurf Part," originally only Andrew Eldridge of Sisters Of Mercy. This did not happen at the end unfortunately.

The guitar solo before the third verse of " Sometimes women have ... " is cribbed from Adam Ants song " Stand And Deliver". The same tune was later also used in the new theme song of the TV series from Süderhof.

In "Money " the musician Sven Francisco is mentioned by Fischerspooner. This was also previously by Farin Urlaub in his song " Wonderful World of Farin U." mentioned.
