In the populated areas is available everywhere on the street fruit and vegetables from their garden in order to secure a living wage.

In all districts and in rural areas there are a variety of Christian churches and a mosque in Vengere.

Away from the town center approximately three kilometers to the south is the caused by a large dam Lake Rusape. Here, although a small restaurant is operated houses there right on the lake but barely.

Away from the paved road is located twelve kilometers south of the city, in the bush the " Serengeti Training Center", which both for events such as farmer and anti-AIDS workshops as well as for European visitors, as an accommodation, the starting point for excursions, or work camp is used.
