The Rush Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois.

Geography

The Rush Township is located in northwestern Illinois and is drained by the Apple River. The border with Iowa, which is formed from the Mississippi River, located approximately 40 km to the west. The border with Wisconsin is located 10 north.

The Rush Township is located at 42 ° 24'40 " north latitude and 90 ° 02'20 " west longitude and extending over 95.35 km ². In the north of the township, the Apple River Canyon State Park is located.

The Rush Township is bordered Jo Daviess County within the north by the Warren Township, on the east by Nora Township, to the southeast by the Wards Grove Township, on the south by the Stockton Township, to the southwest by the Woodbine Township, on the west by the Thompson Township and to the northwest by the Apple River Township.
