Ruslan Ivanov

Ruslan Ivanov (Russian Руслан Иванов; born December 18, 1973 in Chişinău ) is a former Moldovan cyclist.

Career

Ruslan Ivanov began his career in 1998 with the team Brescialat - Liquigas, after he had made the year before by a 3rd place in the overall standings of the Baby Giro, Giro d' Italia for young driver 's attention. In his first year as a professional he was Moldavian champion in the road race and the time trial and also won the time trial pair Grand Prix d' Europe. For the 2000 season, he joined the team Amica Chips - Tacconi Sport, for which he won the Italian one-day race the Giro di Toscana, and again the national championship road race.

After only one year, he joined the team Alessio, where he was to spend his most successful period. In his first year there he won the overall classification as well as two stages in the Settimana Internazionale di Coppi e Bartali. In addition, he still secured in 2001 each won a stage at the Regio - Tour and the Giro del Trentino and was able to finish this his most successful season just outside the 100 top-ranked rider in the UCI world rankings. Finally, in 2005 he went to the ProTour team Domina Vacanze at the start, but could except the 3rd place in Veenendaal Veenendaal - retract any significant results. After Domina Vacanze had dissolved, he found no professional team for the following season and spent this in the amateurs.

In the 2007 season Ivanov lingered for Polish Continental Team Amore & Vita- McDonald's and since the beginning of the 2008 season he drove for the Venezuelan Professional Continental team Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni - Androni Giocattoli in whose jersey he victory in the overall standings of the Tour de Langkawi for could be recorded.
