Russ Abbot

Russ Abbot ( born September 16, 1947 in Chester; actually Russell Roberts ) is a British musician, comedian and actor.

As a drummer Abbot founded the Black Abbots, 1977 signed their first recording contract. Later he joined as a comedian in appearance and won five times the Television Award Funniest Man on Television.

From 1980, Abbot brought several albums as a solo artist out. He also starred in numerous television series productions and soon received his own Russ Abbot Show, which attracted an audience of millions.

Some years ago, Abbot bought the performing rights for his hit " Atmosphere" back and denied any consent that he would play on the radio; he says, " Atmosphere" did not represent his true abilities.

On stage, Abbot played including the Alfred P. Doolittle in "My Fair Lady" and the narrator in The Rocky Horror Show.
