Russell Carpenter
Russell Paul Carpenter ( born December 9, 1950 in Van Nuys, California, USA) is an American cinematographer and photographer.
Filmmaking
Russell Carpenter began as a cameraman at the horror and science fiction films of the 1980s and 1990s, including Pet Sematary II and The Lawnmower Man. He became internationally known for his collaborations with James Cameron on True Lies - True Lies and the disaster film Titanic, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography.
He also photographed and presents his photographs in exhibitions.
Carpenter is married and has a child with his wife Patti.
