Russell Islands

The Russell Islands are a group of islands in the archipelago of the Solomon Islands. They are located in the province of Central Pacific island nation of Solomon Islands.

The largest island of the group is Pavuvu, also called Russell Iceland. A further 26 islands, all located relatively close to the main island, it is one of the Russell Islands.

Yandina, the capital of the islands, is located on the second largest island Mbanika which is separated only by a narrow passage from the main island Pavuvu.
