Russell Mulcahy

Russell Mulcahy ( born June 23, 1953 in Melbourne) is an Australian film director and screenwriter.

Life

He began his film career as a video director, among others, Elton John, Duran Duran and Bonnie Tyler. After his directorial debut Razorback (1984 ), a horror thriller about an oversized boar, followed in 1986 Highlander - There can be only one. This film, which arrived by his unconventional editing and camera technology and the music of Queen with the audience, made known to the director. After Mulcahy succeeded not a great success more.
