Russia at the 2012 Summer Olympics
Russia took part in London at the 2012 Olympic Games. It was the eighth overall participation in the Olympic Summer Games. The Olimpijski komitet Rossii nominated 443 athletes in 29 sports.
Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the tennis player Maria Sharapova.
The wheel driver Viktoriya Baranowa was after a positive doping test (testosterone ) at a pre-Olympic training control on 24 July 2012 and after she had admitted to having taken a prohibited means, during the games excluded.
