Russian Party in Estonia

The vein Erakond Eestis - VEE ( German Russian Party in Estonia, Russian Русская партия Эстонии ) is a Conservative Party of Russian-speaking residents of Estonia, which works mainly for greater political and social rights of ethnic minorities in Estonia.

The vein Erakond Eestis sees itself as the political representative of the Russian-speaking minority and the Russian Orthodox Church in Estonia. The party competes with this claim with the Konstitutsioonierakond, but which is left-wing.

The VEE was founded in October 1994. In 1996 she united with the Russian People's Party ( vein Rahvapartei ). 2003 joined three other Russian-speaking parties of the VEE: vein Balti Erakond Eestis ( VBEE ), vein Ühtsuspartei ( VÜP ) and Erakond Eestimaa Ühtsus ( STP ).

In the Estonian parliamentary election, 2007, the VEE received 0.2 % of votes cast. In the 2011 general election voted 0.9% for the party. Politically, the vein Erakond Eestis is meaningless.
