Russian Research Module

The three Research Modules are laboratories, for the International Space Station (ISS) wanted to build Russia. The project, however, was laid early for the most part on hold as the economic situation in Russia is increasingly deteriorated and could no longer be financed. Even in the official plans of 1998, there were only two modules. But these two were deleted. At least one module should be built from the Ukraine ( under the direction of Russia).

For several months, until the beginning of 2007 a single Research Module was planned, but which would have had with those from the 90s little in common. It would have been such a modified TKS spacecraft and should be mounted on the nadir port of Zvezda.
