Rustavi Ensemble

The Rustavi Choir (also Rustavi Choir or The Rustavi Choir ) is a polyphonic Georgian Male Choir, who recorded the first choir in Georgia to the musical traditions of all regions of the country in his program. Founder and director of the vocal ensemble founded in 1968, is Anzor Erkomaishvili.

The Rustavi Choir is an academic vocal group that preserves and interprets the Georgian Polyphonic Singing (2001 included in the UNESCO list of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity ). The choir will be accompanied sporadically by instruments. Mostly sung without instrumental accompaniment.

The repertoire includes hundreds of folk songs, but also Georgian hymns.
