Ruth Kelly

Ruth Maria Kelly ( born May 9, 1968 in Limavady, Northern Ireland ) is a British politician ( Labour Party ) and was from 2007 to 2008 Transport Minister in the government of Gordon Brown.

Kelly heard since May 1, 1997 the House of Commons for Bolton West and since then acted in various offices of the governments of Blair and Brown, among other things, it was from 2006 to 2007 Minister.

Kelly is a member of the Catholic lay organization Opus Dei. Because of this membership is controversial in liberal circles.

Ruth Kelly is married and has one son and three daughters.
