Ruy Ramos

Ruy Gonçalves Ramos Sobrinho (Japaneseラモス 瑠偉, Ramosu Rui, born February 9, 1957 in Rio de Janeiro) is a former Japanese football player.

Ramos came in 1977 for the Yomiuri FC for whom he played for 19 years. During this time he brought it to 302 missions in which he was able to achieve 83 goals. In 1996 he went for a year to Kyoto Purple Sanga before he returned to his now renamed Verdy Kawasaki club in 1997. In 1998, he ended his professional career.

He was naturalized in 1989 and was thus entitled to the Japanese national football team to play for he also denied 32 matches between 1989 and 1995.

He supervised the Japanese beach soccer team at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in 2005 and was able to surprisingly reach the 4th place with Japan. Since January 2006 he has worked as a trainer in 1969 at his former club Tokyo Verdy.
