Ry X

Ry Cuming (* in Angourie, New South Wales), also known as Ry X, is an Australian musician.

Biography

Ry Cuming comes from the east coast of Australia and grew up in the area around Byron Bay. At 18, he threw his training back and traveled to Central America. In Costa Rica, he was discovered in 2006 by an American director and brought to Los Angeles. He worked on his music career and released his debut album in 2010 with Jive Records. It was produced by John Alagia and Sara Bareilles singing one of his partners on the album. Although he then also played at performances by artists such as Maroon 5 and Phantom Planet in the opening act, his breakthrough did not succeed.

In Europe, he first drew attention to himself in 2012 with producer Frank Wiedemann of Âme. This took before his song Howling and made it a successful electro -piece with Cumings singing. This results in the joint, named after the first song Elektroprojekt The Howling developed.

In 2013 he signed with the Swedish label Dumont Dumont, where he published a solo EP under the pseudonym X Ry. The title song was discovered Berlin for advertising and used in the commercial for a new television model and could then in France, England and Germany, where the spot was aired place in the charts.
