Ryan Garbutt

Ryan Garbutt ( born August 12, 1985 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player standing since 2011 with the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League under contract and runs parallel to their farm team Texas Stars in the American Hockey League.

Career

Ryan Garbutt began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the youth team Winnipeg South Blues, for which he was active from 2003 to 2005 in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He then attended four years at Brown University, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the ECAC Hockey. The 2009/10 season spent the Center for the Corpus Christi IceRays of the Central Hockey League. For this, he scored in his first season in professional hockey in a total of 65 games 50 scorer points, including 22 goals. The 2010/11 season he joined the Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL, could do there with 17 scorer points in ten games but quickly attracted attention, after which he spent the rest of the season with the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League.

July 1, 2011 Garbutt received a contract as a free agent with the Dallas Stars. For this he came in the 2011/12 season in the National Hockey League for two goals and an assist in 20 games. The majority of the playing time he spent however at Dallas ' Farm Team Texas Stars in the American Hockey League. At the beginning of the shortened because of a lockout season 2012/13 he was at first exclusively in the NHL squad of the Dallas Stars.
