Ryan Hollins

Ryan Kenwood Hollins ( born October 10, 1984 Pasadena, California) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers in the American professional league NBA. The 2.13 m wide Hollins plays on the position of the center.

College

From 2002-2006 he played for the UCLA Bruins and scored an average of 5.5 points and 4 rebounds per game.

Career

Hollins was selected at the 50th position in the NBA Draft 2006. He was the 100th overall they drafted players, who had previously played at UCLA. In his first season he scored an average of 2.6 points in 27 games. Until 16 January 2009, he remained in Charlotte before he sent along with Matt Carroll DeSagana Diop for the Dallas Mavericks. On 3 August, the Minnesota Timberwolves offered him a seven - million dollar contract for 3 years. The Mavs presented not the offer and so he moved to Minneapolis. July 26, 2010 Ryan Hollins and Ramon Sessions were transferred to the Cleveland Cavaliers. For Sebastian Telfair, Delonte West and a Second Round pick went to Minnesota. Of the Cavs Hollins was released on 20 March 2012. 3 days later took him the Boston Celtics for the remainder of the season under contract. With the Celtics Hollins was able to move up in the Eastern Conference Final Conference. There, however, the Celtics had defeated the Miami Heat. For the new season 2012/2013 Hollins moved from Boston to Los Angeles Clippers.
