Ryan Malone

Ryan Malone ( born December 1, 1979 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American professional ice hockey player who is currently at the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

The 1.93 m wide winger played for several U.S. junior teams during his college days he was in the team of the St. Cloud State University, which competes in the game operation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. NHL Entry Draft 1999 Malone was finally selected as the 115th in the fourth round of the Penguins ( drafted ).

Towards the end of the season 2002/ 03 the Americans first stood in the squad of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, a farm team of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the American Hockey League. Already in the following season Malone managed the leap into the NHL roster of franchises from Pittsburgh, behind Dick Tärnström Alexei Morozov and he immediately became the third best scorer of the Penguins. Family

His father, Greg Malone, was also a hockey player and was active in the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hartford Whalers and Quebec Nordiques in the NHL, where he came to 501 points scorer in 704 games. 1991 and 1992, he won a talent scout of the Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup and worked in the following years as chief scout of the team, before joining in the organization of the Phoenix Coyotes in 2006. Ryan Malone's uncle, Jim Malone, was selected in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft in the first round, but never came into the NHL used.
