Ryan Murray

Ryan Murray ( born September 27, 1993, White City, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since March 2009, he plays for the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League on the position of the defender.

Career

Ryan Murray was ( WHL) selected in ninth position of the Everett Silvertips Bantam Draft in 2008 at the Western Hockey League in the first round. Then the players completed another season for the Moose Jaw Canucks of the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League, a regional junior league. For the Silvertips the defender made ​​his debut as a 15- year-old in the play-offs of the WHL season 2008/09. In the following season Murray played together with Radko Gudas in a defensive line. In the play-offs this season, Ryan Murray came due to injury-related failures of his teammates as a 16- year-old WHL rookie up to 35 minutes of ice per game. In the WHL season 2010/11 Ryan Murray was named assistant captain of the Silvertips.
