Ryan Ramsay

Ryan Ramsay ( born May 18, 1983 in Ajax, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since the summer of 2013 at the Schwenningen Wild Wings in the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Ramsay began his career in 1999 Hockey in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League with the Peterborough Petes. In the 2000 /01 season he moved within the league to the Kitchener Rangers. There, the 1.82 m wide center became one of the top performers and put his talent. Overall, Ramsay graduated 76 games for the Rangers and was able to achieve 71 points scorer. In the summer of 2002, the Plymouth Whalers center followed, where he also remained for only two years. Ramsay able to improve again and scored 165 points in 120 games.

For 2004/ 05 the Links Sniper became a professional in the American Hockey League with the Worcester IceCats, the former farm team of the St. Louis Blues. In his first season in the AHL, he belonged to the tribe squad. After the team in 2004, changed hands and in 2005 moved to Peoria, Ramsay had also his job to Peoria embarrassed, where he became went for the Peoria Rivermen on the ice.

2007, the leaders of the Krefeld Penguins were aware of the Canadians and committed him for the season 2007 /08. Ramsay completed 51 games for the Penguins, scoring 42 points scorer. He was the fifth- best scorer on his team. In summer 2008, the attacker has been committed by the DEG Metro Stars, for whom he went into the 2008/ 09 season on the ice.

On 2 September 2009, it was announced that Ryan Ramsay will accrue in the season 2009/ 10 for the Straubing Tigers after the DEG had terminated his contract after one year. Ramsay played a successful season in Straubing, was best assist provider and at the same time top scorer of Lower Bavaria. After a year he left Straubing again and was hired by the Cologne Sharks on. After a year at the Cologne Sharks he returns in season 2011/12 back to the Straubing Tigers. It followed the 2012 change in the Italian Serie A1, where he signed a contract with Ritten Sport. There, the attacker missed because of a lengthy neck injury much of the Games, so that his contract was not renewed.

On 21 July 2013, the Schwenningen Wild Wings announced the commitment of the Canadian known, he thereby returning to the DEL.
