Rylene dye

As rylene dyes is called the homologous series of condensed in the alpha-position of naphthalene molecules. Two condensed naphthalenes give perylene, terrylene three, four quaterrylene. Because of their high photo stability and high fluorescent quantum yield, these dyes are particularly interesting for investigations einzelmolekülspektroskopische. In addition to p -terphenyl doped with terrylene this doped polymer films are used, especially with monoimide and diimide derivatives of rylene dyes.
