Rypin County
The powiat Rypiński is a powiat ( county ) in the Polish province of Kujawy. It is located about 50 kilometers east of Toruń. Covering an area of 587.08 km ² live 44,000 inhabitants.

History
The county is in its present form since 1999. Until 1975 there was a county of the same name. From 1815 to 1918 he was part of Congress Poland or Russian Poland. From 1919 to March 31, 1938, the district was part of the former province of Warsaw and came as part of a regional reorganization on 1 April 1938, the then United Province of Pomerania. 1939-1945 was the county as a county Rippin (West Prussia ) Part of Reichsgau Danzig-West Prussia, Regierungsbezirk Marienwerderstraße.
