Ryžoviště (Bruntál District)

Ryžoviště until 1947 Brunzeif ( German: Braunseifen ) is a municipality in the Czech District Bruntál.

History

The foundation of the town took place in 1190. 1318 Brunciv became a town. After the German occupation in 1938, the former municipality Brunzeif was renamed Brown soaps. After the end of World War II it was renamed Rýžoviště

In the 1930s Brunzeif had about 1,600 inhabitants. 2006 there were 673 people in Ryžoviště.
