Rzecino

Rzecino [ ʒɛ'tɕinɔ ] ( German Retzin ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is situated 18 kilometers south of Białogard ( Belgard ) and belongs to the rural community Rabino ( United Rambin ).

History

In 1628 Retzin is called with his Vorwerk Granzin (Polish Gręzino ) as a fief of the family von Manteuffel. Owners were in 1655 Asmus and Gerd von Manteuffel and Jakob von Döring Krockow. During the 17th century, the former manor was divided into two parts. Then often changed owners with names like von Glasenapp, von Zitzewitz, Lenz, of Weyher or Podewils.

When the war ended in 1945 Retzin, which belonged to the Belgard has been farmed by the owner of manor Erich Malue, the Gutsbetrieb Karl Zitzke, the major operating Hans Torp and nine farms. Crafts and trades were represented by a tailor, blacksmith, wheelwright's shop, body shop and a general store. In 1939 the village had 452 inhabitants (106 households ), in 1865 there were 458 with only a little more.

Retzin belonged until 1945 to the official and state District Arnhausen (now Polish Lipie ) and to the district court district of Bad Polzin ( Połczyn Zdrój ). The last German Mayor of Retzin was Franz Ohlow, last Chief Administrator Karl Griep, and last registrars were Walter Frank, and Hans -Ulrich Pretzell.

On 4 March 1945, the Red Army occupied the village, which became part of Poland after the war and its former inhabitants were expelled. Today Rzecino part of the rural municipality ( gmina wiejska ) Rabino in powiat Świdwiński.

Church

Retzin has its own church, which was built in 1862. It is a timber-framed church, the belfry stands next to the church. The church was taken over in 1945 by the Catholic Church in Poland and officially opened again on October 7, 1957. Today it bears the name " Church of St. Joseph, the Worker ." Rzecino continues Branch Church of the now Catholic parish Lipie ( Arnhausen ), now the dean's office Połczyn Zdrój (Bad Polzin ) in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg ( Archdiocese of Szczecin - Pomerania ).

Before 1945 Retzin was with Granzin a branch church in the parish Arnhausen (now Lipie ) and thus belonged to the church Belgard ( Ecclesiastical Province of Pomerania ), the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union. 1940 belonged to the branch community Retzin 508 church members. The church patronage was for the last Retziner landowners Malue Erich and Hans Torp.

Rzecino now belongs to the parish Koszalin ( Koszalin ) of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg ( Lutheran ) Confession in Poland. Next Church places are Białogard ( Belgard ) and Świdwin ( Schivelbein ).

School

Retzin had a village school, in 1928 68 children were taught in two classrooms of two teachers.
