Rzyszczewko, Koszalin County

Listen Rzyszczewko? / I ( German Klein Ristow, Schlawe ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the urban and rural community Polanów ( Pollnow ) in the powiat Koszaliński ( Koszalin ).

Geographical location

Rzyszczewko (not to be confused with the homonymous village 20 kilometers away at Sławno ) is located in Eastern Pomerania, three kilometers east of Bukowo ( (Wendish ) Buckow ).

Place name

Originally the village was called in German Ristow; later it was renamed in small Ristow, probably to distinguish it from other Ristow in Schlawer circle. In Polish, the confusion would be today again, you would not Rzyszczewo between (former Ristow at Schlawe ) and Rzyszczewko (formerly New Ristow, Schlawe ) in today's powiat Slawienski and our Rzyszczewko (formerly Small Ristow, Schlawe ) in today's powiat Koszaliński can differentiate.

History

The later- estate village is moved from the second half of the 17th century to about 1880 as Vorwerk of Kummerow (now Polish: Komorowo ) detectable and is temporarily referred to as sheep. The initial investment of the estate is still clear: on the south side of the village street later built homesteads.

In 1928, the estate was divided into four courtyards. Owner was formerly the Podewils family on Krag, who sold it mid-19th century. The estate then had various owners, including 1907-1914 Count Leopold von Baudissin until last then Rudolf Ziesing let aufsiedeln.

Before 1945, Ristow was a small town in the municipality Buckow, which was called until 1937 Wendish Buckow. It was i Pom district Schlawe. in the administrative region of Pomerania Pomerania.

On 27 February 1945, shortly before the invasion of the Red Army, the inhabitants fled together in the trek westward. They came to the Oder, where they could muddle through with only the most necessary luggage and leaving behind the carts on the western side of the river. After the war, small Ristow was put together with all Pomerania under Polish administration. Populations from Eastern Pomerania, who had fled across the Oder, then return to their homes and in their possession was denied by the Polish authorities.

In small Ristow Poland settled. Small Ristow was renamed by the Poles in Rzyszczewko. The village was - merged with Bukowo as Bukowo Rzyszczewko - a district of the city and rural municipality Polanów in powiat Koszaliński the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Koszalin Voivodeship ).

Church

Small Ristow had ( and to this day ) not have its own church. The predominantly Protestant small Ristower belonged before 1945 to the parish of Kummerow ( Komorowo ) in the parish Krag. It was in the church Schlawe the Church of the Old Prussian Union. Last German minister was Pastor William Vedder.

Today, the inhabitants of Rzyszczewko almost exclusively Catholic denomination. The village now belongs to the parish Bukowo Polanowskie the deanery in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg Polanów of the Catholic Church in Poland.

School

The children from small Ristow visited before 1945 the school (Wendish ) Buckow that there - conveniently for them - was on the road to Bosens ( Bożenice ).

Traffic

The village is accessible from the side street of Sławno on Lejkowo ( Leikow ) to Jacinki ( Jatzingen ). By 1945 Buckow was the next station on the narrow-gauge railway track Schlawe - Pollnow - Sydow Schlawer the tracks.
