The discovery of S/2004 S 12 by David C. Jewitt, Scott S. Sheppard Jan and Brian G. Marsden on Kleyna recordings of 12 December 2004 to 9 March 2005, it was announced on 3 May 2005.

S/2004 S 12 orbits Saturn at a retrograde eccentric orbit in about 1048 days and 13 hours. The orbital eccentricity is 0.396, the orbit is inclined with 164.04 ° to the ecliptic.
