Saale (Leine)

Saale at Saalemühle

It rises near the Duinger Lakeland, follows the eponymous Lower Saxon Saale valley and flows through Wallensen, Ockensen and Salzhemmendorf initially in a northwesterly direction between the Thüster mountain and the Ith order then at Hemmendorf in an easterly direction between Kanstein and Osterwald the linen - glacial valley turn. In this way it flows through the villages of Oldendorf and Benstorf. Shortly before Quanthof opens the floodplain into the river Saale. After that it touches the places Quanthof, Sehlde and Saalemühle to then open in Elze in the lanyard.
