In the administrative community hall county north from the Saxony-Anhalt Saalekreis ten municipalities were merged to perform their administrative business. Administrative headquarters was the town Löbejün. On 1 January 2011, the administrative community was dissolved and (since April 7, 2011 Wettin - Löbejün ) founded from the former member communities, the new city and united community Löbejün - Wettin.
