The Saana seen from Kilpisjärvi

The Saana ( North Sami SANA ) is a 1029 m high Fjell ( Tunturi ) in the northwest of the Finnish province of Lapland.

It is located in the extreme north- west tip of the country near the border triangle Finnish- Swedish-Norwegian. Just as the highest mountain of Finland, about 50 km away Haltitunturi, it belongs to the Scandinavian Mountains.

The Saana rises 556 meters above the location at the foot of the mountain village Kilpisjärvi. From there the summit via a four kilometer long trail is accessible.
