Sabaragamuwa Province

Sabaragamuwa ( Sinhala: සබරගමුව පළාත ) is a province of Sri Lanka. It consists of the two administrative districts of Kegalle and Ratnapura. The main cities are Ratnapura and Kegalle.

The Sabaragamuwa University is Belihuloya. It was named after the former aborigines called Sabara, an Indian term for hunter-gatherers, named. The province tourist attractions are the Bambarakanda Falls, the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the Sri Pada 2243 meters high.
