Sabayon Linux

Sabayon Linux is a Linux distribution developed in Italy that can be run as a live system from a DVD. Sabayon Linux is based on Gentoo distribution, and places special emphasis on hardware detection and graphical effects.

History

Originated the distribution in October 2004 under the name " RR4 " or later additional " RR64 " for the 64 bit version as a finished Gentoo system. In August 2006, it was renamed in Sabayon Linux 3.0.

Since Sabayon Sabayon 6 appears as a rolling release.

Scope

Unlike most live distros are at Sabayon is a DVD with about 2 GB content. Sabayon tries to provide an appealing multimedia environment out-of -the-box. For most drivers are included on the DVD.
