Sabina Valbusa

Sabina Valbusa ( born January 21, 1972 in Verona) is an Italian cross-country skier.

Her debut in the World Cup was Valbusa on 12 December 1992 in Ramsau am Dachstein. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer Valbusa reached the 26th place over 15 km. On December 14, 1996, she was first run in the top ten in Brusson with the 6th place over 15 km. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano Valbusa reached the 29th Place and in the pursuit of the 17th place in the sprint over 5 km. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2001 in Lahti Valbusa missed the sprint more than 1 km to the 4th place only just a medal. Above 10 km, it was tenth in the race and over 15 km, it came on the 18th Place. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City Valbusa entered for the first time at the Olympic Games in sprint and distance competitions alike. In the sprint she could reach 17th place in the race and over 15 km of course 10. In the pursuit they finished ninth in the relay and at the end of sixth.

In March 2004 Valbusa won the season finale over 15km freestyle in Pragelato their first and only single World Cup.

Medals she won 5 km Staffelrennnen and this only four times at 4 x. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1999 in Ramsau, she won silver in 2001 in Lahti and 2005 in Oberndorf each bronze.
