Sabine Andresen

Sabine Andresen (born 1966 in North beach ) is a German teacher with a focus on childhood and youth research and teaching as a professor at the University of Frankfurt / Main

Professional career

Andresen graduated for teaching at primary and secondary schools in the subjects of history, German and music in 1990 with the first state examination in 1994 and got her diploma as a teacher. Until 1997, she earned her doctorate in education at the University of Heidelberg. In 2003 she qualified as a professor in education on the topic Socialist childhood concepts. Political influences on education. at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Zurich.

From 1994 to 1997 she was a research assistant at the University of Education Heidelberg, Faculty of Social Sciences in childhood research project, after which it was briefly assistant to the rector. From 1998 to 2001 she was a postdoctoral fellow of the State of Baden- Wuerttemberg and research associate at the Educational Studies Department at the University of Heidelberg. From 2001 to 2004 she was assistant professor at the Pedagogical Institute of the University of Zurich. In October 2004, she was appointed to the C4 - Professor of Education at the Faculty of Education at the University of Bielefeld. For the summer semester 2011, she moved to a research professorship family assistance to the University of Frankfurt in the Institute for Social Education and Adult Education.

Since 2010 is member of the scientific advisory board of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence Research, member of the jury of the German Children's Prize and serves on the scientific advisory board of the peer -reviewed journal of gender.

  • Scientific support of the " education offensive for gifted education ", funded by the City Foundation Gütersloh.
  • International Textbook Research and reform processes. Evolutionary theories promoted in textbooks through the University of Bielefeld.
  • Concepts of normality as a knowledge resource. A qualitative study among students of educational science sponsored by the Faculty of Education, University of Bielefeld.
