Geography

The Parish is located in Northwest Louisiana along the border with Texas. The Sabine Parish has an area of 2620 square kilometers, of which 379 square kilometers are water surface.

History

The Sabine Parish was formed in 1843 from parts of Caddo Parish and Natchitoches Parish of, and named for the Sabine River.
