Sac County, Iowa
The Sac County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. In the census in 2010, the County had 10,350 inhabitants and a population density of 6.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Sac City.
Geography
The County is located in the central northwestern Iowa and has an area of 1,498 square kilometers, of which seven square kilometers of water surface. It borders the following Nachbarcountys:
History
The Sac County was formed on 15 January 1851 former parts of Greene County. It was named after the Native American people of the Sac.
