In 1890, the song appeared Saxony. The text is by Maximilian Bauer Hall and the melody of Ernst Julius Otto.

Currently Saxony has no own anthem. An opinion poll about was not completed successfully: 72% of respondents representative of Saxony did not have its own anthem.

According to historians there was never an official national anthem for Saxony. Thus, different songs that have the land and its inhabitants to content, referred to as Song of Saxony, Saxony song or Saxony anthem, such as God bless Saxony country with the tune of the British national anthem, or even Jürgen Hart Sing mei Sachse, sing.
