The bag is a forest to 374 m above sea level. NN high ridge of Lower Saxony highlands in the district of Hildesheim, Lower Saxony ( Germany ). It is named after the district Alfelder bag.

He belongs with the seven mountains and the foothills of the geological structure of the bag dump.

Geography

The bag Forest lies on the eastern edge of the linen Uplands in Lower Saxony Bergland. It is located between Alfeld on a leash in the north- west and the somewhat distant Gander bath home in the southeast.

Surrounded is the Sackwald of the heights of foothills in the north, the south-eastern foothills of the Hildesheim Forest in the north - northeast, Sauberge in the northeast, Harplage in the East- Northeast, jack in the East, Light Mountain in the south and southwest, seltzer ( beyond the Leine valley ) in the southwest and seven mountains to the northwest. Attractions

Among the attractions of the blind Forest include not only the local forest landscape, the ruins of a Frankish mission station on the high jump, the ruins of the castle Winzenburg on the Winzenberg and cultural monument Tiebenburg on the Tiebenberg. The ruins of the school Burger chapel, which is northeast of Long Lumber and north of the bag (both Alfelder districts ) to about 185 m on the southwestern edge of the adjacent foothills, is worth seeing.
