Serapion of Thmuis " the flames emitted " (Hebrew - Greek ) ( * ca 300 AD; † ca 370 AD in Thmuis ) was a Christian theologian, bishop of Thmuis in Lower Egypt and Holy.

Serapion maintained good relations with Anthony the Great and Athanasius. He promoted this as monasticism.

In the Arian dispute he stood on the side of Athanasius. He also worked as a theological author and has written a polemic against the Manichaeans. The Holy Serapion is commemorated in the Roman Church on March 21, in the Coptic Church on March 7.
