Sacro Monte di Ossuccio

The Sacro Monte di Ossuccio is a " Holy Mountain " in Ossuccio. He is part of the Sacri Monti. The Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy in northern Italy since 2003 part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Lying on the west side of Lake Como, the Holy Mountain has a considerable scenic value. The chapels representing the Mysteries of the Rosary were built in 1635-1710 on a rising path that leads to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of salvation.

As with the other Holy mountains provides the interaction between plant growth and chapels an inseparable landscape feature dar.
