SAE Institute

SAE Institute (formerly the School of Audio Engineering ) is a private training institute and offers training and further education in the field of audio- visual media. Worldwide, there are 56 branches spread over 26 countries. The headquarters of SAE Institute is located in Oxford, England.

History

1976-2000

In 1976, the SAE Institute was founded by Tom Misner and opened in Sydney in 1977. In the following years further branches were in Australia (1978 North Fitzroy, 1980 Brisbane, Adelaide 1982 ) founded. In 1985, the first European SAE College in London was founded in 1986, the first non-English language in Munich; more followed in 1987 in Vienna and Frankfurt am Main.

Opened in 1985, the first European training institute in London. The first German -language institute opened in Munich in 1986. 1996 extended the SAE in London their studios to the point that it became the world's largest SAE Institute. 1999 was the SAE Munich SAE London as the largest school rank from.

The third German school was opened in 1988 in Berlin. New European headquarters was Amsterdam in 1991 with the establishment of a SAE there. In the same year, SAE 1992 expanded into Asia to Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. 1993 branches were opened in Hamburg and Paris.

The School of Audio Engineering in 1994 changed its name to SAE Technology College.

Tom Misner acquired in 1995, the largest studio in Sweden, Sound Trade Studios, a studio complex with 5 recording studios. The SAE Cologne was opened in the same year, as well as the school in Zurich. The first school in Italy ( Milan ) followed in 1996, the same year as the outfit in Geneva goes on.

The Walt Disney Event Group and SAE adopted in 1997 a co-operation in the United States, the SAE Stockholm was recognized by the state, in Rotterdam and Stuttgart offices were also established.

1998 Opening of SAE in New York and Athens and 1999, followed by the opening SAE Nashville.

Since 2000

2001 found the openings of SAE place in Miami, Liverpool and Madrid. Tom Misner took over the largest recording studio in Germany, which became a part of Studio 301 Group. In 2002, the first Digital Film Making course started. SAE SAE Berlin and Athens were accredited Degree Center. 2003, a new course concept has been introduced. In the same year, the opening of the SAE was held in Brussels and Yangon. 2004 follows the SAE Leipzig and in 2005 the SAE LA. Since 2004 SAE Group is also the carrier of the Qantm Institute.

In 2005, Tom Misner the console manufacturer AMS Neve. In Dubai, the first school in the Middle East was opened, and in Los Angeles opened the fourth school in the U.S.. In addition, in Frankfurt will take place the first SAE Alumni Convention.

Another institution in Kuwait was opened in 2006 by the SAE Institute.

In 2007, the SAE Institute in Rotterdam celebrated its tenth anniversary in a new and larger property. It opened schools in Amman, Jordan, and in Atlanta.

2008 SAE Institute moved its Headquarters to Oxford. In Cape Town and Istanbul, new branches were opened. SAE Institute in London was moved to a larger property. In Berlin took place the 4th SAE Alumni Convention.

Opened in 2009, SAE campuses in San Francisco and is in the same year in Singapore a new building.

Another campus was opened in Belgrade in 2010. In addition, state financial support SAE Institute in Australia university status, the student receives now possible. SAE International signs licensing agreement for new schools in Mexico, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. SAE Institute and the College Qantm be borne by the companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange company Navitas.

2011 a campus was opened in Bochum, the only site of SAE in the Ruhr.

Studios 301

SAE Institute operates under the name Studio 301 own recording studio chain with studios in Byron Bay, Cologne, Stockholm and Sydney.
