Saeb Erekat

Saeb Erekat (Arabic صائب عريقات Sá ʾ ib ʿ Uraiqāt; born April 28, 1955 in Jerusalem) is a Palestinian politician ( Fatah ) and chief negotiator in the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.

Life

Erekat studied in San Francisco and Bradford and worked for twelve years as a correspondent for the daily newspaper al -Quds al - Arab. His work history includes the Oslo peace process from 1996 until his first resignation in 2003. Three months after the resignation he was again appointed by Yasser Arafat.

For Fatah Erekat was elected in 2006 in the constituency of Jericho in the Palestinian Legislative Council.
