Saessolsheim

Saessolsheim ( German Saessolsheim ) is a commune with 523 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the canton Hochfelden in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. An early mention of the village dates from the year 1050. Between 1120 and 1130 the settlement of the monastery Marmoutier was assumed. The most famous building is the church of St. John the Baptist, dating back to the 12th century.
