Safura Alizadeh

Safura ( born September 20, 1992 Baku, full name Səfurə Əlizadə, also Safura Alizade ( h) ) is an Azerbaijani singer. In 2010 she participated for her native country at the 55th Euro Vision Song Contest, where she finished fifth with the title Drip Drop.

Biography

Safura was born into a family of artists. Her father is a painter, her mother a pianist and a fashion designer, the early helped her daughter to design their own costumes. At the age of about three years, Safura began with the singing. Three years later, she completed her first public performance. In addition to a dance school and high school, she attended the School of Music, where she was taught the violin. She later taught himself the saxophone. In addition, she plays the piano.

Safura soon began to pursue a career as a singer. She was a member of various ensembles and children participated in singing competitions. Notoriety she gained in her home by participating in the talent show Yeni Ulduz - in 2008 Safura won the Azerbaijani version of Pop Idol. In early February 2010, she participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest (ESC ) at the Azerbaijani decider. Together with Maryam Shabanova and the duo Milk & Kisses she reached the finals of the material discharged from the national ITV competition. This she could decide for early March 2010. The English pop song Drip Drop, composed and written by the Swede Anders Bagge, Stefan Örn and Sandra Bjurman, but was only two weeks later presented as the official Azerbaijani competition entry. One day after the final Safura announced to have signed a five -year contract with an international group of Swedish and Ukrainian producers.
