Saga Cruises

Acromas Travel Ltd.. is a British cruise company, operating under the trade name saga. The company's headquarters is located in Folkestone, UK. Under the umbrella of Acromas Travel the travel company Acromas Holidays Ltd with the trade name of Saga Holidays, and to shipping subsidiary Acromas Shipping Ltd, which operates under the trade name of Saga Shipping works. Currently, the Saga Sapphire and Saga Pearl II will be operated by the company.

History

The first ship in the former Saga Fjord was taken over by the company. After their six- year-old charter had expired for Transocean Tours, they brought the ship in 1997 under the new name of Saga Rose in driving. In November 2009, the Saga Rose was finally taken out of service because the requirements of SOLAS 2010 were not met. The last cruise of the ship was a 37 -day Mediterranean tour.

Since the year 2003, built in 1989 Minerva was also chartered for temporarily increasing their fleet by Saga Cruises. During these missions, the ship sailed under the name Saga Pearl. In 2004, the fleet was extended permanently to a vessel was to the former Caronia, a sister ship of the Saga Rose, acquired by Cunard and renamed Saga Ruby.
