Saginaw County is a county located in the state of Michigan in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Saginaw.

Geography

The County is located just southeast of the geographic center of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, is in the northeast about 15 miles from Lake Huron, one of the five great lakes, distance and has an area of ​​2113 square kilometers, of which 18 square kilometers are water surface. History

Saginaw County was formed in 1822 from parts of Oakland County. It was named after an American Indian expression.
