Sagittarius Dwarf Irregular Galaxy
The Sagittarius dwarf irregular galaxy is a dwarf galaxy in the constellation of Sagittarius. The distance to the ground is 4.2 million light years. The Sagittarius dwarf irregular galaxy is often confused with the Sagittarius dwarf elliptical galaxy, a companion of our galaxy, the Milky Way. She was discovered on June 13, 1977 at Schmidt telescope of ESO.
