Sahana FOSS Disaster Management System

Sahana is an integrated collection of collaborative, Internet-based software solutions that can be found in the regional and or global disaster, especially after that application. It is free open source software ( FOSS ).

The system currently consists of the following main components:

  • Situation mapping system
  • Missing tab
  • Affected register
  • Organization directory
  • Notunterkunftsverzeichnis
  • Helper management system
  • Demand management system
  • Storage directory

About 60 active developers worldwide are working on this project, which has its origin in the Indian Ocean Tsunami of 2004 in Sri Lanka. In 2006 it was awarded the Free Software Award for Projects of Social Benefit.
