Sahib I. Giray

Sahib Giray I (* 1501, † 1551 ) was the son of Meñli I Giray, the Khan of the Crimea, and from 1521 to 1525 and from 1532 Khan of Kazan Khan of the Crimea.

Sahib was enthroned in 1521 with the support of his elder brother Mehmed in the spring of 1521 to the throne of the Kazan khanate, which he moved in the same year against the Grand Duchy of Moscow in the war, this several defeats inflicted and forced to submit tribute.

After the death of his brother Saadet I Giray, 1532, he took over the throne of the Crimea. In 1541 he moved again against the Muscovite empire.

He was succeeded in 1551 Devlet Giray I, a grandson of Meñli I. Giraj.
