Sai Thong Watthana District

Amphoe Sai Thong Watthana ( Thai: ทราย ทอง วัฒนา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Kamphaeng Phet. The Kamphaeng Phet province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Sai Thong Watthana has only a very narrow border of the neighboring province of Phichit, it borders from the south clockwise to the Amphoe Bueng Samakkhi, Khlong Sai Ngam, cooling and and the province of Kamphaeng Phet as well as Amphoe Sam Ngam of Phichit Province.

History

On April 1, was founded in 1992 by three broke out Tambon Khlong Khlung from Sai Thong Watthana first as a small district ( King Amphoe ). Originally called the King Amphoe Thung Sai ( sandbag ) after the central tambon. In 1995, the district got its present name Sai Thong Watthana. On October 11, 1997, he was upgraded to a full Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Sai Thong Watthana consists of 3 communities ( tambon), which further into 37 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
